    Background

   tiec11.gif (248880 bytes) The goal of the Fair is to promote economic cooperation and trade, investment between PECC members by showing the new products, new technology in the field of environment of homestead. PECC members and non-PECC countries and areas will be invited to the Fair. The Fair falls into two exhibition parts (a conventional Showplace and an inventive Real Housing Features). The Real Housing Features, planned about forty show-oriented sets, with the feature of post modern Industrial housing, will be materialized through implementation of the "Pacific Village Project" -- a Green Homestead collection of the 21st century, showing the civilized home and its ambiance envisaged by the mankind of the 21st century. The showing period for Real Housing Features will be 240 days, commencing on September 14, 1999 and ending on May 14, 2000.

Organizing Structure

Advisory Committee -- For enhancing the name of this Fair, the Advisory Committee should consist of internationally well-known personage.

Chairs -- Mr. Roberto R. Romulo, PECC XIII Chair, Mr. Jing Shuping, Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce

Advisors -- Chairs of 23 member committees of PECC (in the alphabetic order): Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the United States, Vietnam, Pacific Islands, French South Pacific Territories

Leading Committee -- Coordination and guidance of the fair are the main responsibilities of the Committee whose composition is as follows;

Honorary Chairman -- Mr. Shi Guangsheng, Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of P.R. China

Chairman -- Mr. Li Sheng Lin, Major of Tianjin Municipal Government

Vice Chairmen and Members -- They are from the State Development & Planning Commissions, the State Economic & Trade Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Trade & Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Construction, State Administration of Building Materials Industry, Customs General Administration, China National Environmental Protection Agency, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation (CNCPEC), Tianjin Municipal Government.

2. New type of building and decoration materials, kitchen equipment, toilet equipment, conditioner, refrigeration, heating and ventilation equipment, furniture and lamp, floor materials, residential area design, housing design, tools & machinery for construction, decoration and repairing.

3. Seminars of environment and homestead, professional lectures, trade seminars.
