About the Exhibition

As one of the most authoritative shows to expose the world electronics   developing trend and China's progress and contribution in this field, China International Electronics Exhibition has been successfully held four times. Biannually organized, CIEE, since its first exhibition in 1991, has drawn great attention and interest from electronics manufacturers in China and abroad with more than 100 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors each time.

China -- the Most Attractive Market for Electronic Components Manufactures

Entering into 1990s, China has emerged from a virtually unheard of electronics source to a "bright start" of Asian electronics industries with its output totaling USD 42 billion. Directed by the increasing amount of finished electronic products, demand for the electronic components was up to 120 billion units in 1997 and continued to grow in 1998. Under heavy request for high-tech, electronic parts, China has become one of the largest importers of components especially the microelectronics. One industry expert points out that within the next decade, electronic components such as chip components and devices, transducers/sensors, thick-film hybrid ICs, optoelectronic devices, discrete semiconductor devices will become new "hot products" demanded by the Chinese markets and will be encouraged as the main focus to develop. Meanwhile, China will spare no effort to invite  foreign investment in large-scale product of IC, new electronic components and device (including chip components and those used in electrical equipment), optoelectronic elements, sensitive components and sensors, special materials for semiconductor and optoelectronics, newly display device (color LCD, flat panel display), CAD/CAE, tools and modules for testing and measuring.

Exhibit Profile

Semiconductors -- diodes, transistors, power semiconductor components, opto semiconductor components, accessories for discrete semiconductors, logic circuits, microprocessors and controllers, memory and memory peripherals, application-oriented ICs, amplifier ICs, digital signal processors, IC special designs.
